Granada acoge una exposición que destaca el extenso patrimonio industrial que tiene Andalucía
La recuperación de la Azucarera de San Isidro como campus universitario es uno de los elementos protagonistas de la exposición
La consejera de Fomento, Articulación del Territorio y Vivienda, Rocío Díaz, ha asistido junto al decano del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Granada, Ismael Rodríguez, al estreno de la exposición Las fábricas del Sur, que se mantendrá hasta el 31 de mayo en la sede colegial de la Plaza de San Agustín de la capital nazarí. La muestra itinerante organizada por la Consejería de Fomento, Articulación del Territorio y Vivienda trata de poner en valor la recuperación de la arquitectura industrial de interés patrimonial.
La consejera ha recordado que esta exposición itinerante sirvió en su día “para resaltar la importancia de rehabilitar el ingente patrimonio industrial que hay en Andalucía y darle una nueva vida para que fuera útil a los ciudadanos”. “No es casual que hayamos escogido Granada para el regreso de Las fábricas del Sur, ya que la ciudad es ahora referente gracias al proyecto de convertir la Azucarera de San Isidro en campus universitario”, ha indicado Rocío Díaz.
La recuperación de este enclave ha recordado la consejera, ha sido fruto de un trabajo coordinado de las administraciones, que ha tenido como germen un proyecto sobre este BIC que contó con aportación de la Junta de Andalucía a través de su convocatoria de subvenciones para apoyar y promover la actividad investigadora de las Universidades Públicas Andaluzas en materia de vivienda, dentro del Plan Vive En Andalucía.
En paralelo, esta exposición “contará con información específica y documentación relacionada con el complejo”, según ha explicado. No en vano, hay programada una mesa redonda sobre el pasado, presente y futuro de la Azucarera de San Isidro que tendrá lugar el 23 de mayo también en la sede colegial.
Igualmente, Rocío Díaz ha agradecido la implicación de todas las instituciones, desde la Universidad de Granada, a través de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectos (ETSAG), como del Colegio Oficial de Arquitecto de Granada, que “no dudó un segundo en poner a disposición de la Consejería de Fomento su sede y sus instalaciones, situadas en el mismo corazón de la ciudad”.
Rocío Díaz ha remarcado que esta exposición recopila “la riqueza industrial de Andalucía, tan variada y singular”, que van desde explotaciones mineras hasta fábricas de harina, almazaras o las industrias de salazón”. En ese sentido, ha señalado que es objetivo de todas las administraciones tanto recopilar como intervenir en el patrimonio andaluz con iniciativas como esta o con proyectos como el inventario de edificios públicos de interés arquitectónico desarrollado el pasado verano por su departamento.
Por su parte, el segundo teniente alcalde y concejal de Urbanismo, Obras Públicas y Licencias, Enrique Catalina, ha afirmado que Las fábricas del Sur nos ofrece una experiencia única e interactiva, donde la relación entre el espectador, el espacio y el contenido cobra vida. «En un momento como este, donde estamos trabajando por la candidatura de Granada Ciudad de la Cultura Europea, es importante recordar la vinculación de todos las artes en cada una sus formas y expresiones, como elementos fundamentales para enriquecer nuestra identidad y fortalecer la desde todos los sectores esta candidatura», ha concluido.
Las fábricas del sur es el título de una muestra que ofrece una visión amplia del patrimonio industrial andaluz desde diferentes perspectivas. El interés por lo industrial surge como un campo de exploración en distintos niveles, que incluye personas, actividades, maquinaria y arquitectura, formando parte de un mismo escenario.
La exposición destaca la importancia del patrimonio arquitectónico, así como su relevancia en el contexto urbano y paisajístico, con la intención de dar a conocer espacios industriales existentes en las ciudades que han sido agentes dinamizadores de su desarrollo económico y determinantes en las transformaciones sociales y urbanas del territorio, y que, en la actualidad, suponen un patrimonio desconocido para sus habitantes.
Las fábricas del sur tiene como objetivo, por tanto, posibilitar el acercamiento de toda la documentación recopilada sobre el patrimonio industrial disperso por el territorio andaluz. La exposición está compuesta principalmente por material audiovisual y, con intención de lograr una atmósfera sugerente, las imágenes están acompañadas con un fondo sonoro que reproduce sonidos abstractos procedentes de la actividad industrial.
La exposición itinerante sur, cuyo comisario es Jorge Mingorance, permanecerá en la sede del colegio hasta el 31 de mayo, en horario de lunes a viernes de 10.00 a 14.00 y de 17.00 a 19.00 horas. En paralelo, se desarrollarán una serie de actividades culturales. El 9 de mayo, a las 20.00 horas, tendrá lugar la conferencia Nuevos paisajes de la industria en Andalucía, a cargo del arquitecto y profesor de la ETSAG, Tomás García. Y el 14 de mayo se impartirá a la misma hora otra conferencia que, bajo el título La fábrica del Pilar de Motril. La industria azucarera regresa al futuro, tendrá como ponentes a Nani Sánchez, co-redactora del proyecto de obras de apertura del Museo Industrial del Azúcar; y Alberto Martínez, director del departamento de Patrimonio Industrial del Azúcar en el Ayuntamiento de Motril.
Por último, el 23 de mayo, a las 20.00 horas, tendrá lugar la mesa redonda Azucarera San Isidro. Campus UGR sostenibilidad. Recuperación de un Bien de Interés Cultural. En ella intervendrán el vicerrector de Investigación y Transferencia de la Universidad de Granada, Enrique Herrera; el director del proyecto de la Azucarera, Juan Domingo Santos; Antonio Montufo; y el subdirector de Planeamiento de la Dirección General de Urbanismo del Ayuntamiento de Granada, Enrique Olmedo. Estará moderada por el decano del Colegio de Arquitectos, Ismael Rodríguez.
